As various elements of the pandemic/Great Reset zombie drag ever onward, we are coming to the following inescapable conclusion: some people have woken up to what’s really going on in the world, while others may never wake up. We’ve been opining about it nonstop on RiseUpNH.org and many groups like RebuildNH, Health Freedom NH, NH Committee of Safety, Granite Grok, NH Health Workers for Freedom and many other freedom-minded folks have been waging a battle in the political and rhetorical trenches for well over 2 years now. Folks across the state have worked intensively with our legislators, have offered webinars, have written to newspapers and have protested and picketed to try to get someone — anyone — to listen. Like many, I’m wondering if there are any critical thinkers left out there.
It’s clear that our country is sliding into the gutter while the FED prints funny money, Biden kowtows to China and the corporate state rolls onward towards its wet dream of totalitarian control over your job, your body, and even your thoughts. Like a pair of beached whales washing up on the beach gasping for their last breath, both the corporate republic and the fiat-money economy are approaching their inevitable terminus, brought down by abject hubris and the blindness and stupidity that always accompany it.
Those of us who can still see and feel are realizing that we are going to have to take matters in our own hands and look after our own families and communities. No one is coming to save us but our own selves.
Our response to this pressing need for organizing ourselves anew has been the establishing of the Voluntary Civic Action League (VCAL), which is intended to be a big umbrella to help unite any and all groups and individuals around the state in a voluntary coalition to address critical needs. Some groups can fruitfully work across the state, while many will want to gather by county, city/town, or other geographic area where there are enough individuals to form a group. Some may aggregate in more localized “freedom cells” that simultaneously address many different topics which are critical to developing local self-reliance and resilience. This is why we have been encouraging folks to talk to your neighbors about what you are seeing and learn if they are sympatico. When the SHTF, you want to be able to know who you can rely on.
Such groups are self-selected and are not owned by anyone except the people who participate in them. All participation is voluntary. Existing organizations may play a major or minor role, even convene groups, but we encourage all members to be responsive and responsible actors in their groups. Too often groups fail for lack of timely leadership or communication, but if all members consider themselves co-leaders, then issues can be quickly addressed and actions can move forward. You know the saying: be the change you want to see.
Currently our efforts are focused on bringing like-minded people together to promote community resilience and help create viable parallel networks for necessary goods and services. We should all understand that this needs to be a consistent and long-term effort. This is not mainly about politics or religion (though of course these have a role), but about rebuilding community. We recognize that our cause encompasses people from across the political, ideological and philosophical spectrum, who are joined by the values of freedom of thought and choice, nonaggression, transparency, critical thinking, and by our love of life, nature and creation.
RiseUpNH and the Collaborative Communities Coalition (parent organization: same people, refocused mission) are here to help organize and facilitate convenings, launch other local or regional efforts with technical support and online tools, and generally offer support and encouragement.
We should emphasize that VCAL isn’t just about concrete achievements but about bringing people back into community again. It’s important for us to come together, share food, laughs, and positive energy. Creative arts groups can play a central role in that endeavor, which should ease the pent-up demand for in-person music and performances of various kinds. Eventually, every community and localized freedom cell will want to find spaces to meet, socialize and plan for the future. To that end, we are hoping VCAL can serve as a model to support people in rising up and joining together to do what’s needed in the times ahead.
The biggest challenge with these efforts is focusing people’s attention for the long haul. The system has all the money, which has created indentured servitude. The controllers have used their gains to co-opt or overpower most of the truly people-driven campaigns. To win, the people must not only rise up but must become the managers of community life and decision-making. Our system has encouraged us to sit on the sidelines for so long that it is going to take some sincere self-empowerment to get back into the driver’s seat.
If we want to live our lives in liberty, free from mandates, manufactured food and energy crises, and out of the reach of petty tyrants, it’s time we roll up our sleeves for the best reason of all: working to create a world that works for all of us. It’s up to each one of us, and all of us together. Let’s do it.
